A proposal designed to save Kentucky millions of dollars in prescription drugs costs was at the center of a heated debate and passed a Senate committee on Wednesday. Senate Bill 50 proposes getting rid of middlemen known as pharmacy benefit managers for patients who are Medicaid recipients.
