PeaceHealth planning layoffs in labor and delivery department

In the statement, PeaceHealth said there will be “opportunities for many to move into other roles.” PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield is planning to lay off as many as 40 people, according to a spokesperson for the union representing hospital employees.
