Since the coronavirus pandemic broke out in early 2020, however, the word “normal” has all but dropped from the lexicon. And so, in a nation preoccupied with COVID-19, the price transparency mandate slipped into place on January 1, 2021, with little fanfare beyond health sector trade publications.
